According to a study of employment rates for those with a BSc or higher in 2002 carried out by the Bureau of Labor, out of 112 occupations requiring a Bachelor’s Degree, all but four showed low or very low rates of unemployment for full time workers. Obviously pay varies depending on where you live and what type of work you do, but the range of salaries in 2002 from the same survey for professions requiring a Bachelor’s ranged between $18,060 and $109,580 per annum.
There are a number of ways of attaining a Bachelors Degrees and your chosen career could well dictate which course of study you follow. You can either enroll on a four year, full time course at college or university, or you can upgrade a 2 year Associate’s Degree with a further two years, with or without a break in the middle. This is not always possible for all Associate’s Degree, so you will need to check if you can transfer your qualification.
